Innovative electric wheelchair

Our founding project was born from the desire to meet the diverse needs of people with mobility impairments, and to simplify equipment maintenance. Adigo developed the electric wheelchair, Eligo, through holistic concept design, ergonomic considerations, mechanical engineering and advanced electronics. The design featured a versatile frame with front- or rear-wheel drive, a seat lift, and intuitive controls for users with reduced motor functions. Using a sand-cast aluminum frame we reduced the number of parts needed, and improved serviceability, simplifying support for assistive technology centers while offering high customization for end-users. The groundbreaking design earned Eligo the Norwegian Design Council's Product Design Award.
